About us and our “tailor-made” services to Clients

CRW Accountants is a long established Accountancy practice based in the heart of Colyton, East Devon providing services to owner-managed businesses and tax Clients throughout the region.  Our seven Team members are supported by Specialist Tax, VAT, Banking, Legal and other consultants with whom we have built up strong associations with over the years.  This structure enables us to provide an overall service comparable with Firms with much higher employee numbers, whilst still providing that vital personal contact and confidence.  Fees are discussed at the outset, based on a set Fee menu so that there are no hidden extras, and, your choice as to whether to spread costs by standing order payment, or not.

Established in 1985 the Firm has over 30 years’ dedicated experience and a combined total of over 100 years professional services in total by the current team.  This enables the Firm to assist in promoting the growth of its Clients businesses, developing them into successful operations and offering absolutely confidential advice.  Throughout the Firm’s history the Client base has achieved consistency by offering a high level of expertise, experience and attention to detail.  Our Directors have vast experience in many areas of Taxation, Finance, Accountancy and business advice over a wide range of businesses, from Corporate Clients and property investors, to individuals and smaller Companies.  With our own in house Taxation Services Director and our Consultant Ex HM Inspector of Taxes and, Ex HM VAT Inspector you’ll receive nothing but our solid technical advice which probably counts amongst the strongest advice available from any sized Firm specialising in Owner/ Managed businesses.
As a business ourselves, we do of course need to make a profit on our costs base, the latter which primarily includes Administrative and Professional Salaries along with office and other related overheads.  Our Fee levels are agreed with Clients in advance based on a set Fee menu.  We do not expect to benefit solely at the expense of Clients and thus we aim to take the time to demonstrate that the work we do for Clients and, the Fees which we necessarily charge give rise to a mutual sharing of the proceeds / benefits arising from our specific work, contributing to the overall ongoing wellbeing of our Clients.

At CRW Accountants we pride ourselves in maintaining a personal relationship with our Clients, guiding them through the accounts and financial aspects of their business, and taxation affairs alike, in a professional straightforward manner.  We are totally committed to providing our Clients with a tailored service to suit their individual needs and pockets.

Our door is always open for current Clients and new potential Clients are more than welcome to arrange for a free “without obligation” consultation.  Colyton is proud of its free parking areas and also has a large public car park two minutes from our offices.  If we sense that our “tailor-made” approach will not be valued by a prospective Client, we say so.

Service is provided primarily throughout the South-West although we also have Clients based in London and also overseas.  Besides our own in-house team of seven we have over the years formed strong associations with Consultants in a variety of areas of expertise as can be seen at “meet the Consultants”.
